We ask that you take a moment as a family to carefully read through the following options, then let us know how you would like us to proceed with your 2020 enrollment. Please complete this form by June 17, 2020. We understand that you may like to chat with us first, so feel free to call us at +1.941.924.6789 between 9 am and 5 pm EST Monday through Friday. We've also provided the option to save your entry for a few days while you consider the options. You can use this form to submit selections for up to four enrolled students. For anyone who has booked travel with Leah Hernandez, please know that she will be reaching out to each family.
This option is not a standalone choice as it can be combined with a secondary choice to either postpone to 2021 or cancel.
We are not a program that typically asks for donations yet losing the opportunity to provide you with an experience this summer causes a significant financial gap for us. This is because of the commitments we've made over the many months we've spent preparing and planning for summer 2020 for you. As you review your financial situation, please know that any philanthropic gift will help us to cover our costs and bridge this financial gap for the upcoming year. Your donation is tax-deductible.
The majority of our families are selecting to postpone their enrollment to summer 2021 which is a huge vote of confidence. When postponing we apply your 2020 trip deposit and reserve your space on that program. Additionally:
If postponing your 2020 enrollment does not work for your family and you would rather have a full refund for the deposit and tuition payments made to us, we will honor your request. Yet, we would ask for your understanding as this may take us some time. As you can imagine, the impacts of this pandemic are incredibly challenging for most small businesses, but particularly for a team like ours that works full time from September through May to plan and prepare for the trips we run in June, July, and August.
Again, if you are able to make a donation to us in order to cover some of our unrecoverable costs we would be hugely grateful.
Deposits and tuitions are committed well in advance to cover costs like vessel charter, purchasing teaching and certification materials, equipment maintenance, business overheads, and insurance. For this reason, we intend to refund all tuitions in excess of $2000 within 14 days of notice of cancellation, and the remaining balance within three months of notice of cancellation. The reason for this is that we need time to work with our program partners and vendors to recover the fees and deposits we committed on your behalf. We will endeavor to complete the processes faster if we can, but thank you in advance for your understanding. Please understand that we are unable to refund credit card fees assessed on tuition payments unless they are refunded to us by the credit card processors.
We are totally devastated that we aren't going to get to interact with most of you this summer, so we want to send our love, thoughts, and pledge of support to you and your family. If you can think of any way that we can continue to add value in a virtual way this summer, please let us know. Similarly, if you have any other thoughts, comments or instructions to pass our way... whether to us in general or to a specific team member please use the field below.
